Westmount is located to the south of the Mount Royal Mountain, which is where Montreal borrows its name. One of the most affluent areas in Montreal, homes in Westmount are lavish with well-manicured grounds. Homes become even more lavish toward the higher points on the mountain. This residential neighborhood has two schools and a variety of shops, restaurants, spectator sports and cultural attractions. Westmount Arena is home to the Westmount Wings and the Westmount Predators. The Westmount Rugby Club is North America’s oldest active rugby club. Outdoor spaces include King George Park, Westmount Summit and Westmount Park. Westmount is the site of Dawson College and Marianopolis College as well as the Royal Montreal Regiment.
