The neighborhood of Bois Francs, located in the borough of Saint-Laurent, is a recent addition to the Montreal area. Modern homes, shops and parks fill this area that was once home to the Cartierville Airport. The close proximity to the Montreal Technopark draws in business professionals as well as families. Four boulevards and a nearby train station keep the area connected to the rest of Montreal.
Home to 166 different nationalities, Saint-Laurent is known as one of Canada’s most diverse areas. English and French are spoken as well as Chinese, Arabic, Spanish and Greek. Saint-Laurent is Montreal’s second largest employment hub. With several major airline offices in the area, Saint-Laurent is also the center of the Canadian aeronautical industry. There are two Montreal Metro stations, a bus terminal and three commuter train stations.
